Descritpion and Composition
Barium sulfate for X-ray is a contrast agent used for exploring the digestive tract. It should not be used in case of allergy to barium sulfate or other components, heart failure, swallowing disorders, digestive tract perforations, active gastric or duodenal ulcers, obstacles in the gastrointestinal tract, constipation, or recent colon surgeries. It is important to inform your doctor if you have had allergic reactions to contrast agents, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have certain conditions such as asthma, allergies, cystic fibrosis, or high blood pressure.
