Clindamycin-BP is an antibiotic containing clindamycin 150mg or 300mg as the active ingredient (in the form of clindamycin hydrochloride) and is used to treat and prevent a wide range of bacterial, parasitic, or malarial infections. Conditions treated include upper and lower respiratory infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, gynecological infections, intra-abdominal, septic infections, endocarditis, dental infections, encephalitis, and pneumonia in HIV patients, as well as malaria. Additionally, it is used for the prevention of endocarditis and infections in surgical procedures involving the head and neck.
