Descritpion and Composition
Active Substance: Thioctic acid 600 mg.Therapeutic Indications: Used for sensory disturbances (tingling, burning, paresthesia) associated with nerve damage (diabetic polyneuropathy) caused by diabetes mellitus.
Mechanism: Thioctic acid protects nerve cells and possesses antioxidative properties.
Dosage: 1 film-coated tablet daily (corresponding to 600 mg of thioctic acid).
Important Instructions: Must be taken on an empty stomach, approximately 30 minutes before the first meal, with sufficient liquid.
Caution: Alcohol must not be consumed during treatment. Not recommended for use in children and adolescents.
