Descritpion and Composition
Each tablet contains acetylsalicylic acid 240 mg, paracetamol 180 mg and anhydrous caffeine 27.5 mg. Excipient with known effect: sodium. Round, biconvex, light brown tablets with white specks, marked 'BP' on one side, with a cocoa flavour.

Each tablet contains acetylsalicylic acid 320 mg, paracetamol 240 mg and anhydrous caffeine 40 mg. Excipient with known effect: sodium. Round, biconvex, white or off-white (cream-tinted) tablets, marked 'BP' on one side.

Indication: Symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain (migraine, neuralgia, dental pain, myalgia, arthralgia, post-operative pain), mild-to-moderate headache in migraine attacks with or without aura, tension-type headache, febrile states and dysmenorrhoea.

Contraindications (SmPC sec. 4.3): 4.3 Contraindications Citramon-BP must not be used in case of: − hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid, paracetamol, caffeine or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1, and in case of hypersensitivity to salicylates or other NSAIDs that has manifested in the past as asthma, urticaria, nasal polyps or other allergic reactions − in patients with gastrointestinal ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, acute pancreatitis − severe hepatic impairment − severe renal impairment − severe heart failure, arterial hypertension, cardiac conduction disorders, paroxysmal tachycardia, coronary heart disease − haemorrhagic diathesis, blood coagulation disorders − glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency − surgical procedures accompanied by significant bleeding − hyperexcitability, sleep disorders − when a dose of methotrexate of 15 mg/week or more is administered concomitantly − during the last trimester of pregnancy, during breast-feeding − in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Special warnings and precautions (SmPC sec. 4.4, excerpt): 4.4 Special warnings and precautions for use The medicinal product may be used only with special precautions, under medical supervision - in patients with bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps and other allergic conditions; - in patients with gastric or intestinal symptoms (including chronic and recurrent ones), a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation; - in patients with renal impairment or pre-existing renal disease; - in patients with mild or moderate hepatic impairment and during concomitant use of hepatotoxic medicinal products; - in patients with heart failure; - in patients with Gilbert's syndrome (Gilbert-Meulengracht syndrome); - before surgical procedures; - in patients with hyperthyroidism; - in patients with gout; - in patients diagnosed with mastocytosis, in whom the use of acetylsalicylic acid may lead to […]
