Gripp OFF Plus

Mix

Each tablet contains: paracetamol 500 mg, caffeine 30 mg, phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg, chlorphenamine maleate 2 mg. Excipient with known effect: sodium.

Indication: Short-term symptomatic treatment of cold and flu symptoms, including fever and chills, muscle aches, sore throat, headache, nasal congestion, sneezing and runny nose.

Contraindications (SmPC sec. 4.3): 4.3 Contraindications − Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1; − Severe cardiovascular disease; − Cardiac rhythm disorders; − Coronary heart disease; − Arterial hypertension; − Hyperthyroidism; − Phaeochromocytoma; − Severe hepatic or renal impairment; − Glaucoma; − Prostatic adenoma with post-void residual urine; − Bladder neck obstruction; − Pyloroduodenal obstruction; − Stenosing peptic ulcer; − Patients currently taking, or who have stopped taking within the previous 14 days, monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors (see section 4.5); − Concomitant administration of other medicinal products containing active substances similar to those in Gripp Off Plus; − Concomitant use with sympathomimetic agents, tricyclic antidepressants and beta-blockers (see section 4.5); − Pregnancy and breast-feeding; − Children and adolescents under 15 years of age.

Special warnings and precautions (SmPC sec. 4.4, excerpt): 4.4 Special warnings and precautions for use If high fever (39°C) persists for more than 3 days, if signs of secondary infection appear, or if symptoms persist beyond 4 days, treatment should be reassessed. Do not use together with other products containing paracetamol, decongestants or other cold and flu medicines. During treatment, consumption of alcoholic beverages/alcohol-based medicines, hypnotics and anxiolytics (tranquillisers) should be avoided. Special warnings regarding paracetamol: Gripp Off Plus contains paracetamol. Based on post-marketing experience with paracetamol, hepatotoxicity has been found to occur even at therapeutic doses, after a short treatment duration, and in patients without pre-existing hepatic dysfunction.
