Each sachet contains sodium chloride 3.5 g, potassium chloride 2.5 g, sodium citrate dihydrate 2.9 g, anhydrous glucose 10.0 g (equivalent to Na 89.5 mmol, K 33.5 mmol, Cl 93.4 mmol, citrate 9.9 mmol, glucose 55.5 mmol).

Indication: Restoration of fluid-electrolyte balance and correction of acidosis in mild-to-moderate acute diarrhoea or heat-related disorders with fluid-electrolyte imbalance; prevention of fluid-electrolyte imbalance during heat and physical overload with profuse sweating.

Special warnings and precautions (SmPC sec. 4.4, excerpt): 4.4. Special warnings and precautions for use Severe dehydration (e.g. weight loss > 9% in children, anuria) must first be corrected by intravenous rehydration. Only after this can Hidroreg BP be used to continue treatment of diarrhoea. The recommended doses should not be exceeded, except where the need for additional electrolyte supplementation is confirmed by laboratory tests. Hidroreg BP must be reconstituted only with drinking water. If the solution is administered too concentrated within the recommended volume, hypernatraemia may occur.
