Each sachet contains: sodium chloride 3.5 g, potassium chloride 2.5 g, sodium citrate dihydrate 2.9 g, anhydrous glucose 10.0 g (Na 89.5 mmol, K 33.5 mmol, Cl 93.4 mmol, citrate ions 9.9 mmol, glucose 55.5 mmol).

Indication: Hidroreg BP is indicated for restoring fluid and electrolyte balance and correcting acidosis in acute diarrhoea with mild to moderate dehydration, in heat-related disorders with fluid/electrolyte imbalance, and for prevention of fluid/electrolyte disturbances during heat and physical overload accompanied by profuse sweating.

Special warnings and precautions (SmPC sec. 4.4, excerpt): 4.4. Special warnings and precautions for use Severe dehydration (e.g. weight loss > 9% in children, anuria) must first be corrected by intravenous rehydration. Only after this can Hidroreg BP be used to continue treatment of diarrhoea. The recommended doses must not be exceeded, except where the need for electrolyte supplementation is confirmed by laboratory tests. Hidroreg BP must be reconstituted only with drinking water. If the solution is administered too concentrated within the recommended volume, hypernatraemia may occur.
