Descritpion and Composition
Each tablet contains lisinopril 20 mg as lisinopril dihydrate. Excipient with known effect: lactose monohydrate. Flat, white or almost white, square tablets with bevelled edges, marked 'B' and 'P' on either side of the score line; the tablet can be divided into equal doses.Each tablet contains lisinopril 10 mg as lisinopril dihydrate. Excipient with known effect: lactose monohydrate. Flat, white or almost white, square tablets with bevelled edges, marked 'B' and 'P' on either side of the score line; the tablet can be divided into equal doses.
Each tablet contains lisinopril 5 mg as lisinopril dihydrate. Excipient with known effect: lactose monohydrate. Flat, white or almost white, square tablets with bevelled edges, marked 'B' and 'P' on either side of the score line; the tablet can be divided into equal doses.
Indication: Indicated for the treatment of hypertension, treatment of symptomatic heart failure, short-term treatment (6 weeks) of haemodynamically stable patients within 24 hours of acute myocardial infarction, and for the treatment of renal disease in patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus with incipient nephropathy.
Contraindications (SmPC sec. 4.3): 4.3 Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to lisinopril or to any other ACE inhibitor, or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1. - History of angioedema associated with previous ACE inhibitor therapy. - Hereditary or idiopathic angioedema. - Second and third trimester of pregnancy (see sections 4.4 and 4.6). - Concomitant use of Lisinopril-BP with medicinal products containing aliskiren is contraindicated in patients with diabetes mellitus or renal impairment (GFR
