Losartanum

Each Losartan-BP 50 mg film-coated tablet contains losartan potassium 50 mg (excipient with known effect: lactose monohydrate 84 mg). Each Losartan-BP 100 mg film-coated tablet contains losartan potassium 100 mg (excipient with known effect: lactose monohydrate 168 mg).

Indication: Treatment of essential hypertension in adults, children and adolescents (6-18 years). Treatment of renal disease in adults with hypertension and type 2 diabetes, with proteinuria ≥0.5 g/day. Treatment of chronic heart failure in adults when ACE-inhibitor therapy is no longer considered appropriate. Reduction of stroke risk in hypertensive patients with ECG-documented left ventricular hypertrophy.
