Meloxicam-BP (tab)

Meloxicamum

Composition: Active substance: meloxicam, tablets of 7.5 mg or 15 mg. Excipients: sodium citrate, lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, povidone, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.

Indications: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for the short-term symptomatic treatment of painful osteoarthritis and the long-term treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.

Precautions: Contraindicated in the last trimester of pregnancy, under 16 years of age, allergy to meloxicam/NSAIDs/aspirin, history of peptic ulcer/gastrointestinal bleeding, severe hepatic/renal/cardiac failure. Precautions: cardiovascular risk (heart attack, stroke) at high doses/prolonged treatment, risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), may mask infections; interacts with other NSAIDs, anticoagulants, corticosteroids, antihypertensives, lithium, methotrexate; contraindicated in the last 3 months of pregnancy, not recommended during breastfeeding; contains lactose.
