Oral health means more than just a beautiful smile. Untreated dental problems can have serious consequences not only for the oral cavity but also for the whole body.
Balkan Pharmaceuticals responded to doctors' requests by developing a new product, used in oral anesthesia, during dental procedures. The launch of this drug aims to improve the deficient situation in the field, for the benefit of patients and in the service of professionals.
The medicinal product is branded 'BP Anest' and contains two active substances:
1) articaine, a local anesthetic that prevents pain, and
2) adrenaline, a vasoconstrictor that narrows the blood vessels in the injection site and thus prolongs the effect of articaine. It also reduces bleeding during surgery.
Depending on the type of dental procedure performed, the doctor will choose between the two drugs:
1) BP Anest with Adrenaline 1: 200 000, solution for injection 40 mg + 0.005 mg / ml, usually used for simple and short-term dental procedures;
2) BP Anest with Adrenaline 1: 100 000, solution for injection 40 mg + 0.01 mg / ml, which is better suited to procedures with a longer duration or the possibility of significant bleeding.
"We have assumed the role of a loyal partner to medical workers in the Republic of Moldova and we will continue to make every effort to contribute to ensuring the pharmaceutical security of public and private medical institutions," said Vasile Cazacu, General Manager of Balkan Pharmaceuticals. on the occasion of the placing on the market of the new medicinal product authorized by the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices.
