Balkan Pharmaceuticals is financially supporting a football hall team in Moldova
It is already a common practice in large companies to help in the improvement of people's lives inside the community where their business is active. There are more entrepreneurs in Moldova who understand it's good to help people, either by supporting scientific domain and donations or support talented youth in different fields.
Since the beginning of their activity as part of its corporate social responsibility policy, local pharmaceutical company, Balkan Pharmaceuticals, supports the organization of different events with medical and pharmaceutical profile by promoting healthy lifestyles.
This autumn, Balkan Pharmaceuticals has expanded its social responsibility programs and decided to financially support the football hall team ”CS Gratiesti”. Founded 2 years ago, the team assured its participation in various sports competitions through their own funding. However, this year, due to financial difficulties, the football hall team risked in ending its career.
"In Moldova there are many talented young people with great potential in sports, but who lack the financial resources to develop. Balkan Pharmaceuticals has decided to support these young people and thereby to support a healthy lifestyle. We want to promote a healthy lifestyle both by pharmaceutical treatments and the prevention of illness and diseases, this being possible through sport." said George Apostol, the Balkan Pharmaceuticals representative.
”The support from Balkan Pharmaceuticals has helped us enormously. Seeing that we cannot handle from a financial perspective, we have addressed to this pharmaceutical company, which agreed from the start to help us. Now we can continue our work as a team and participate in various competitions and championships, " said Alexandru Eremia, captain of the football hall team.
As a sign of gratitude, the team changed its name to Balkan Pharmaceuticals. In 2014, the football hall team Balkan Pharmaceuticals (at that time CS Gratiesti), consisting of 16 players, ranked on the 1st place in 2014 Moldova Futsal Championship, Division B.
On 7th November, 2015, the team participated in the first stage of the Futsal League, 2015-2016 edition.
Balkan Pharmaceuticals is a pharmaceutical company founded in 2007. Earlier in its social campaigns, the company donated lots of medicines to medical institutions in Moldova. Balkan Pharmaceuticals produces at the moment, 127 drug names including anti-tumor and hormonal medicines, products for the nervous, cardiovascular and digestive system, anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs.
