The Honest Taxpayer Gala 2024: Recognizing Efforts in Promoting Fiscal Discipline
Today, July 1st, on the occasion of celebrating 34 years since the establishment of the State Fiscal Service of the Republic of Moldova, the "Honest Taxpayer Gala 2024" took place. During this event, the most dedicated tax officials and taxpayers were recognized for their contribution to promoting fiscal discipline and state budget revenues.
The event was chaired by top representatives of the country's leadership, including President Maia Sandu, Mr. Radu Marian, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, Budget, and Finance, Mr. Petru Rotaru, Minister of Finance, and Ms. Olga Golban, Director of the State Fiscal Service.
Balkan Pharmaceuticals was honored at the Gala for its remarkable contribution as an honest taxpayer.
"On behalf of the State Fiscal Service, I express gratitude for your contribution in promoting fiscal responsibility, voluntary compliance, as well as transparency and integrity in your activities. I also highly appreciate your significant contribution to the formation of revenues for the National Public Budget through timely and full compliance with tax obligations, maintaining and creating new jobs, thereby supporting the development of the Moldovan economy and building a prosperous and resilient society," stated Ms. Olga Golban, Director of the State Fiscal Service.
Since its foundation, Balkan Pharmaceuticals has taken on the role of job creator, providing employment opportunities and encouraging people to stay in the country to build successful careers. The company already counts over 250 employees, forming a true family.

It inspires us that our work is appreciated, but at the same time, we are aware of the responsibility we have assumed as a significant player in the pharmaceutical market. Behind these achievements is a whole large of professionals, and the results are not just about numbers," said Natalia Pavlovscaia, Chief Financial Officer of Balkan Pharmaceuticals.
Over the past 15 years, Balkan Pharmaceuticals has shown a consistent growth in turnover, actively contributing to the formation of public revenues. In 2023, the company paid taxes and duties amounting to over 29 million lei (1,6 mln USD) to the national budget.
