DRUG MANUFACTURING AND IMPORTING COMPANIES IN A MEETING WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA
The head of state mentioned that providing the population with medicines, along with food security, is a vital issue, especially in pandemic conditions. Igor Dodon expressed gratitude to those present for the responsible attitude in the issue of supplying people with necessary drugs.
The parties discussed in detail two main topics: the stocks of necessary drugs and their prices. It was mentioned that these things are influenced by certain factors, such as - the price imposed by the manufacturer, the fluctuations of the exchange rate, the ban imposed by almost all countries on the export of drugs and inventory during the coronavirus epidemic.
In his address to the president, the general manager of Balkan Pharmaceuticals - Mr. Vasile Cazacu, gave assurances that the factory will continue to contribute to maintaining the pharmaceutical security of the Republic of Moldova. In this regard, it was reiterated that the factory has the capacity to produce the necessary medicines for the population and for the public hospitals and clinics.
The head of state, for his part, specified that the top management of the country will provide all the necessary support for deliveries of medicines for the health system and the general population to be carried out without interruptions. In this regard, Igor Dodon mentioned that the state authorities are ready to conduct political consultations with external partners. The President also informed that issues in the branch will be discussed as soon as possible at the level of the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
